A Framework for the Regnum Christi Lay Apostle is an outline of the Regnum Christi member that serves as a support or guide in living out the RC charism as a lay person and of the formative path to help each RC lay member reach their vocational plenitude. It consists of two main parts:

Characteristics of Regnum Christi’s Formative Style
The Regnum Christi formative style flows from its identity, from the aspect of the mystery of Christ entrusted to us by the Holy Spirit: Christ, the Apostle of the Kingdom. It is a style impregnated with the values, criteria and characteristics of his Kingdom.
The 6 Fundamental Traits of the RC Lay Apostle
The 6 fundamental traits that describe the RC Apostle of the Kingdom follow the example of Christ, the Apostle of the Kingdom. They are:
- Goes out to encounter people
- Reveals the love of Christ’s heart
- Gathers them together
- Forms them as apostles, Christian leaders
- Sends them out to collaborate in the evangelization of people and of society
- Accompanies them
Each trait combines different components; knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors, that are matured and assimilated through an interplay of content and experiences that are accompanied.
Agents of Regnum Christi Formation
- God and the transforming power and primacy of grace.
- The Church.
- Each individual Regum Christi member.
- Regnum Christi as a spiritual family and apostolic body, a community of apostles.
- Regnum Christi Formators.
The North American Formation Plan
A formation plan offers objectives, guidelines and means for the Regnum Christi lay member that then need to be adapted and applied to each Regnum Christi section, team and individual. This formation plan is a blend of content and experiences outlining how the traits of a Regnum Christi lay apostle grow and develop through time.
