There are many different vocations, and everyone is called to one. The best way to discern your call is to pray, asking the Holy Spirit for to guide you, and find someone to accompany you.  Here are some aspects of our charism that might resonate if you have a vocation to Regnum Christi.

CALLED TO LOVE GOD AND OTHERS

Regnum Christi members experience God’s deep love for each of us and desire to grow in our love for Him. We want to grow in holiness and authenticity, and to walk that path with other like-minded people: a team, a community, a group of friends.

Step by step, gradually, we experience his presence in a deeper way, we grow in our personal lives of prayer, and we also pray as a community. We are ignited to share this joy with others, to live a mission, and to serve others out of love for them and for Christ.

CALLED TO LIVE A MISSION

Regnum Christi members feel called to grow in our spiritual lives and to share Christ’s joy with others through evangelization. We make a personal commitment to Christ to advance along the path of holiness we are called to through our vocation.

We are also strongly committed to the evangelizing mission of the Church, and we serve many people around the world through this desire to evangelize in schools, universities, missions, and apostolates.

CALLED TO A SPIRITUAL FAMILY

Regnum Christi is a spiritual family. It is made up of the Legionaries of Christ, Consecrated Women, Lay Consecrated Men, and lay members. We aspire to live as the Holy Spirit intended, with joy, zeal, and passion for Christ.

We seek to share the love of Christ with others: to make Christ’s Kingdom present. Regnum Christi isn’t just a service organization or a prayer group. Being a member is a vocation that calls us to give ourselves fully to Christ, to spiritual growth, and to living our vocation and state in life  combined with apostolic action to evangelize the world.

The life of a Regnum Christi member is an adventure and a mission.

It’s following the risen and living Christ with love, and being part of something bigger than yourself.

It’s allowing God to touch the hearts of others through you, and discovering yourself profoundly transformed in the process.

It is loving the Church, and living the joy of the Gospel.

After your time of discernment, you are welcome to make a formal commitment and become a member.  This is done by writing a letter to the director of the local Regnum Christi group in your area and making your commitment to Christ in an act of association, then formally registering and joining one of the local Regnum Christi teams (a group of Regnum Christi members who meet to pray and work in evangelization together, and who support each other in their day to day Christian life).

How do I register? Click the button on this page and enter your contact information.   As a newly registered RC member, you will receive a series of helpful emails, one each Sunday for six weeks, introducing you to different aspects of your Regnum Christi vocation and the resources available to support you in growing spiritually and living your mission.

Alex Kucera

Atlanta

Alex Kucera has lived in Atlanta, GA, for the last 46 years. He is one of 9 children, married to his wife Karmen, and has 3 girls, one grandson, and a granddaughter on the way. Alex joined Regnum Christi in 2007. Out of the gate, he joined the Helping Hands Medical Missions apostolate and is still participating today with the Ghana Friendship Mission.

In 2009, Alex was asked to be the Atlanta RC Renewal Coordinator for the Atlanta Locality to help the RC members with the RC renewal process. Alex became a Group Leader in 2012 for four of the Atlanta Men’s Section Teams and continues today. Running in parallel, in 2013, Alex became a Team Leader and shepherded a large team of good men.

Alex was honored to be the Atlanta Mission Coordinator between 2010 to 2022 (12 years), coordinating 5-8 Holy Week Mission teams across Georgia. He also created and coordinated missions at a parish in Athens, GA, for 9 years. Alex continues to coordinate Holy Week Missions, Advent Missions, and Monthly missions at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA.

From 2016 to 2022, Alex also served as the Men’s Section Assistant in Atlanta. He loved working with the Men’s Section Director, the Legionaries, Consecrated, and Women’s Section leadership teams.

Alex is exceptionally grateful to the Legionaries, Consecrated, and many RC members who he’s journeyed shoulder to shoulder, growing his relationship with Christ and others along the way. He knows that there is only one way, that’s Christ’s Way, with others!
