Lenten Virtual Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

BE PART OF SOMETHING GREATER YOURSELF

Make a unique Lenten journey this year by participating in a virtual pilgrimage through the Holy Land lead by Kathleen Nichols and a team of volunteers from Magdala, the hometown of Mary Magdalene. The “Pilgrimage of Grace” will begin on Monday, February 28th and go through April 18th, Easter Monday. The first two introductory talks are designed to help bring participants into a grace-filled or ‘sacramental’ world-view: recognizing how the Word Made Flesh pours out His life to us though the signs and symbols of creation.

March 2nd, Ash Wednesday, we will start on the Sea of Galilee, and from there, move on to the Mount of Temptations, the desert, Jerusalem,  and other places in the Holy Land where the Lord’s grace was first poured out for us. We will also visit ruins of some of the oldest Christian Churches on Earth where believers first gathered to give thanks for the blessings of God. Together we will discover several unique rites used by Christian communities present in the Holy Land to celebrate the mystery of God’s Grace. The virtual pilgrimage site visits will be transmitted daily from Monday through Friday at 6:15pm Israel time, followed by daily Mass at 6:30pm with Fr. Eamon Kelly, LC (8:15am on Sundays). Every Saturday at 6:00pm, join the Magdala Team in a prayer of adoration and the recitation of the psalms, transmitted live at sunset from significant locations in the Holy Land. Register now to participate in the virtual Pilgrimage of Grace this Lent, and proclaim with St Paul, “it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” (Gal. 2:20) It is free.

Sign up here.

More than 3000 people from over 70 countries participated in our last virtual pilgrimage through the Holy Land in October entitled, “Healing & Hope”.  We invite you to continue to deepen your personal knowledge of the faith and enliven your relationship with Christ by following this Lenten Virtual Pilgrimage of Grace.
